My Personal Business Card - 2009

Who am i?

For my personal business card, I wanted to represent myself without any kind of job title.
I thought, “What image should I present to people I meet for the first time?… What can I give out to new friends?”

After much thinking…

I remembered my collection of peanut knick-knacks - collected from around the world. In Japan, we call peanuts ‘rakkasei.’ Because there are ‘two nuts in each pod,’ peanuts have come to symbolize friendship.

And because it’s a custom in Japan to give people you meet for the first a business card, why not indicate my friendly intentions with peanuts!
